I've always dreamed of having a community of tall people.
Imagine walking into a room and seeing everyone at eye level. To go in for a hug and truly be hugged back.
I've dreamed of walking into a retail store, asking for my specific size and inseam, and a sales associate smiling and saying, "Oh, come this way, I'll show you the options."
I made simplyaboveaverage because I love being tall, and I hope to instill that same feeling in others. I want to create an ecosystem for tall individuals that we can all enjoy and love.
Over time, I hope the next generation embraces their height even more than us. I hope they see us and get excited about the prospect of growing taller and taller by the day.
I hope that shopping is fun for tall people instead of a humiliation ritual every time. I want to bring a bit more hope into shopping for people who don't fit the standard size.
My goal with simplyaboveaverage is to, yes, help you—the simplyaboveaverage person reading this—find clothes that fit, but also to create a community filled with relatable stories, suggestions, and advice.
Growing to 6 feet is hard, but finding clothes (and community) that fit shouldn't be.
